Ingredients
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 2 c. lukewarm milk
- 1/2 c. melted butter or oil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 2 eggs
- pinch of baking soda
Method
- Put first 2 ingredients in large mixing bowl. Let stand 5 minutes.
- Add next 4 ingredients.
- Beat in flour.
- Cover the bowl. Let stand overnight
- or at least 8 hours (but not in refrigerator).
- When time to cook the waffles, add last 2 ingredients.
- Beat well.
- The batter will be very thin.
- Cook on a waffle iron.
- Makes 6 or more large waffles.
