Ingredients

  • 1 yellow cake layer (made from mix)
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. butter, softened
  • 1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 3 Tbsp. hot water

Method

  • Prepare and bake cake according to package directions.
  • Cool cake completely.
  • Prepare vanilla pudding according to package directions, using only 1 1/2 cups of milk.
  • Chill until set.
  • Cut cake into two thin layers.
  • Spread pudding onto one layer and top with second layer.
  • In a small bowl combine remaining ingredients until smooth.
  • Pour glaze onto top of cake, allowing some to drizzle down the sides.
  • Chill until ready to serve.
