Ingredients
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 rounded tsp. shortening (measure then soften)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. flour or more to make stiff dough
- 2 tsp. baking powder
Method
- Mix all ingredients.
- Roll out like pie crust.
- Cover with flour.
- Double over half again.
- Press with rolling pin.
- Cover top with flour.
- Start at one end and roll dough into a roll. Slice diagonally from end of roll into thin slices.
- Drop into boiling broth.
- Don't stir; just push apart.
- Boil 5 minutes. Don't cover.
