Ingredients
- 3/4 c. elbow macaroni
- 4 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
- about 1/2 c. milk
- salt and pepper
- bread crumbs
Method
- Cook macaroni in boiling, salted water.
- In a 1-quart casserole, layer half the macaroni add a little salt and pepper and milk and top with half the cheese.
- Cover with rest of macaroni, add enough milk to almost cover it and top with rest of grated cheese.
- Sprinkle with bread crumbs (from 1 slice dry bread) and dot with butter or margarine.
- Bake at 375° for about 30 minutes.
- Serves 4 to 6.
