Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 3 to 6 green onions, chopped and with some tops included
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (14.5 oz.) can tomato bits (sauce)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced, or garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. wide noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1 c. cottage cheese
  • 1 c. sour cream

Method

  • Brown beef; drain fat.
  • Add onions and cook lightly.
  • Add sauces, salt, pepper, sugar and spices.
  • Simmer 15 to 20 minutes. While cooking, combine cooked noodles, cottage cheese and sour cream in bowl.
