Ingredients

  • 8 to 9 c. flour
  • 1 c. nonfat dry milk
  • 3 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 3 c. warm water
  • 1/3 c. soft butter
  • 1/3 c. honey

Method

  • In large mixing bowl, put 2 cups flour, dry milk, yeast and salt.
  • Pour in water; beat 1 minute.
  • Add butter and honey; beat another minute.
  • Gradually add enough flour to make a soft dough. Turn onto floured board; knead 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Place dough in bowl; let rise (1 1/2 hours).
  • Punch down; knead gently.
  • Shape into loaves (3 to 4, depending on size).
  • Let rise (1/2 hour). Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.
