Ingredients
- 1/2 cake yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. water
- 1 c. milk, scalded
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- about 3 3/4 c. flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. nuts
- 3 tsp. cinnamon
Method
- Add sugar, butter and salt to scalded milk.
- Cool to lukewarm. Add dissolved yeast, eggs and enough flour to make a stiff batter.
- Cover and let rise to double in bulk.
- Stir down; let rise again.
