Ingredients

  • 2 c. crushed pretzels
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 sticks melted butter
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 c. Cool Whip
  • 6 oz. strawberry Jell-O
  • 2 c. hot pineapple juice
  • 2 (10 oz.) cartons frozen strawberries

Method

  • Combine pretzels, 1/4 cup sugar and the butter.
  • Press into 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Bake for 10 minutes at 350° and cool.
  • Mix cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and
  • Cool Whip and pour over the pretzel crumbs.
  • Dissolve Jell-O in hot pineapple juice.
  • Add strawberries.
  • Let partially congeal (30 to 35 minutes) and spread over cream cheese mixture.
  • Chill until set.
