Ingredients
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar, packed
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp. butter
- 8 Tbsp. cold water
- 2 c. pecans
- 1/4 tsp. maple flavoring
Method
- Put sugar, water and salt in saucepan.
- As soon as it starts to boil, add pecans and cook about six minutes.
- Add flavoring and butter.
- Beat until it begins to lose the shiny appearance and immediately drop by tablespoons onto waxed paper.
- This is really very easy, but takes a time or two to know when to start dropping. Have waxed paper ready before beginning to make candy.
