Ingredients
- 1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1/2 c. light brown sugar
- 1 c. pecans
- 2 c. milk
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 pt. whipping cream
- powdered sugar
Method
- Combine
- butter,
- brown
- sugar
- and
- pecans in skillet; cook over low
- heat until sugar dissolves.
- Pour in pie shell. Combine sugar
- and
- cornstarch
- in
- a boiler; slowly add milk. Cook over low
- heat until thickened.
- Add vanilla;
- pour over pecan mixture. Let
- cool.
- Whip cream, adding powdered sugar, as desired. Spread on top of cool pie.
