Ingredients
- 2 c. cold water
- 2 c. cooked, diced ham
- 2 c. diced potatoes
- 1/2 c. diced onions
- 1/2 c. diced celery
- 2 cubes beef bouillon
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. chopped chives
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 2 1/2 tsp. flour
Method
- Combine all ingredients except milk and flour in a large saucepan.
- Mix well.
- Bring to a boil, then simmer until potatoes are fork-tender.
- Set aside.
- In small bowl gradually add milk to flour, stirring constantly.
- Add this mixture to soup, stirring constantly.
- Heat, but do not boil, until thickened.
