Ingredients

  • instant potatoes
  • 8 slices bread, crusts removed
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • butter
  • salt and pepper

Method

  • Prepare instant potatoes for 8 to 12 servings as directed on the box.
  • Add a little more milk than called for.
  • Brown onion and celery in butter.
  • Cube bread slices and add to onion and celery. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Mix bread mixture with potatoes. Put in casserole dish and bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes at 350°.
