Ingredients
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3 c. flour
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 2 to 3 c. flour
- 1 egg, beaten
Method
- Heat milk; add sugar and butter.
- Place in large warm bowl. Add 2 eggs and 3 cups flour.
- Dissolve yeast in water and add to mixture.
- Add 2 to 3 more cups flour and knead for 10 minutes. Place in large, greased bowl, greasing top of dough, too.
- Cover with dry towel and let rise until double in size.
- Punch down, divide in two.
- Place in 2 greased pie tins and allow to rise again, covered.
- Brush additional beaten egg on top.
- Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
