Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. small cubes beef
  • 3 cans beef broth
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 1 lb. chopped linguica
  • 3 diced potatoes
  • 3 diced carrots
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1/2 head chopped cabbage

Method

  • Cook beef, broth, water, bay leaves, tomato sauce and pepper for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
  • Add linguica, potatoes, carrots, celery and cabbage.
  • Simmer, covered, 20 minutes.
  • Serves 6 to 8 people.
