Ingredients

  • 6 pork cutlets
  • flour
  • 1 egg, beaten with 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 3 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 6 slices Mozzarella

Method

  • Coat cutlets with flour and dip in egg mixture, then in bread crumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese.
  • Heat butter in skillet and brown cutlets on both sides.
  • Remove to a casserole dish.
  • Saute onion, garlic and green pepper in a skillet for about 5 minutes. Add tomato sauce and oregano.
  • Pour sauce over cutlets, cover and bake at 325° for 1 hour.
  • Remove cover, top with cheese and bake until cheese is melted.
