Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. oleo
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 Tbsp. almond extract
  • 12 Tbsp. powdered sugar

Method

  • Cream oleo and shortening.
  • Add vanilla and almond extract. Mix in sugar, flour and pecans.
  • Chill mixture for 1 hour.
  • Roll into 1 inch balls and then roll out into crescents.
  • Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 400°.
  • They should brown only slightly.
  • Remove from cookie sheet after cooling and roll in powdered sugar.
