Ingredients
- 3 to 4 lb. dressed trout or smaller
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. water
- 4 slices lemon
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 sprig parsley
- 2 c. white sauce
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
Method
- Place fish in skillet; add milk, water, lemon slices, allspice, salt and parsley.
- Cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes, until tender.
- Remove to hot platter.
- Combine white sauce, lemon juice and eggs; pour over fish and serve.
