Ingredients

  • 4 c. water
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1 stalk celery, sliced
  • 1 tsp. peppercorn
  • 4 (4 oz.) salmon steaks

Method

  • Combine first five ingredients in a large skillet; bring to boil over medium heat.
  • Cover; reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Add salmon steaks.
  • Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
  • Remove skillet from heat and let stand 8 minutes.
  • Remove salmon steak to serving plate; serve with horseradish sauce.
  • Yields 4 servings.
