Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ripe plums, halved, pitted and cut into wedges
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 3 Tbsp. honey
  • 2 tsp. ginger root, pared and grated
  • 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce

Method

  • Mix all ingredients, except the soy sauce, in a pan and bring to a boil.
  • Lower heat; cover and simmer 5 to 10 minutes until plums
  • are
  • soft.
  • Stir in soy sauce.
  • Cool slightly and pour into your
  • blender.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Refrigerate if not using immediately.
  • Will keep up to 1 week.
