Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1/2 pack yeast
- 1/4 cup lukewarm water
- 2 cups flour
Method
- 1 Add together in a large bowl, stir, cool
- 2 Sprinkle yeast over water (must be 105-110 degrees) and stir
- 3 Stir this yeast into the first mixture
- 4 Add one cup flour and beat until smooth
- 5 Stir in second cup of flour
- 6 Knead 5-8 minutes
- 7 Let rise
- 8 Place in 12 inch round pan
- 9 Spread with oil
- Bake at 424 degrees for 25 minutes
