- 3 lbs hamburger
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 lb extra-sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 (10 ounce) can tomato soup
- 1 (10 ounce) can cheddar cheese soup
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/8 cup salad oil
- 8 hamburger buns
Method
- Brown hamburger and onions and season with salt and pepper to taste. Drain. While hamburger is hot, add remaining ingredients except buns. Mix well and refrigerate for 4-6 hours. Remove from refrigerator about 1 hour before using. Spread on bun halves and broil until cheese melts.
