Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast (included in mix)
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 c. lukewarm milk
  • 1 box hot roll mix
  • 1/4 c. lukewarm water
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 egg yolks

Method

  • Dissolve sugar and yeast in lukewarm water in a cup until mixture foams up.
  • Heat milk to lukewarm and add butter.
  • Stir until melted and then add eggs.
  • Mix well; add yeast mixture. Combine with flour mixture thoroughly; knead well.
  • Form into a round mold and place in a greased bowl.
  • Cover with a towel and set in a warm place to rise for 1 hour.
  • Roll out about 1/4-inch thick, spread with nut filling.
  • Roll up, folding ends under. Place in a well-greased baking pan and brush top with beaten mixture of 1 egg yolk and 1 teaspoon milk.
  • Cover and let rise for 1 hour in warm place.
  • Bake at 350° for about 45 minutes.
