Ingredients
- 3 c. flour
- 1 c. Crisco
- 1 tsp. salt
- 8 Tbsp. cold water
Method
- Sift together flour and salt.
- Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender until the size of small peas.
- Sprinkle water 1 tablespoon at a time over part of the mixture.
- Gently mix with a fork.
- Push to one side of bowl.
- Sprinkle next tablespoon of water and repeat until all is moistened.
- Gather with fingers and form into a ball (mix will be crumbly).
- Let stand several minutes.
- Divide dough into 4 balls.
- Flatten slightly and roll on lightly floured surface.
- Makes 2 double crust pies.
