Ingredients
- 2 c. vinegar
- 2 c. water
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. cloves (whole spices)
- 1 tsp. allspice
Method
- Mix ingredients.
- Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
- Top and wash beets.
- Put into kettle of hot water until peel slips off them. Peel beets; slice or quarter and place in hot sterilized jars. Bring vinegar mixture to a boil and pour over beets and seal jars.
