Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cups Onion, Finely Chopped (about 1 Small Onion)
  • 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
  • 1 dash Ground Oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoons Ground Cumin (a Scant 1/2 Teaspoon)
  • 8 ounces, weight Can Of Tomato Sauce, Divided
  • 1/4 cups Raisins
  • 1/4 cups Green Olives Stuffed With Pimiento, Halved
  • 2 teaspoons Sazon Completo
  • 1/4 cups White Cooking Wine

Method

  • 1) Heat olive oil in a pan at medium heat.
  • Add the onions and cook until they begin to get translucent.
  • Add the garlic and cook for about 1 minute.
  • Add 3 tablespoons of tomato sauce and cook for about 2 minutes.
  • 2) Add the ground beef and break up any large pieces with a wooden spoon.
  • 3) Add the wine, the Sazon Completo, ground oregano, ground cumin and mix together with a wooden spoon.
  • 4) Add the remaining tomato sauce and blend together.
  • Cook until the meat begins to brown, about 10 minutes.
  • 5) Add the raisins and olives.
  • Cover and lower the heat to allow the flavors to blend.
  • 6) Serve over a bed of white rice.
