Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Method

  • Combine softened cream cheese, margarine and vanilla, mixing well until blended.
  • Add eggs.
  • Mix at low speed until blended. Gradually add flour, sifted with baking powder, mixing at low speed.
  • Pour into greased and floured 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
  • Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
  • Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
