Ingredients

  • 4 medium green peppers
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 c. cooked rice
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans Hunt's tomato sauce

Method

  • Cut green peppers in half.
  • Remove seeds and wash peppers. Lightly mix ground beef, rice, onion, salt, pepper and 1/2 can Hunt's tomato sauce.
  • Fill pepper halves, arrange in baking dish. Pour remaining tomato sauce over peppers.
  • Cover tightly and bake at 350°
  • for 1 hour or until peppers are tender.
  • Makes 4 to 6 servings.
