Ingredients
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 lb. pecans
- 1 lb. chopped dates
- 1 c. candied fruit, chopped (cherries or pineapple or both to make 1 c.)
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Method
- Sift flour and sugar together.
- Mix nuts and fruit.
- Beat eggs, vanilla and salt; add flour mixture.
- Pour over fruit and nut mixture; work with hands until thoroughly blended.
- Bake in loaf pan lined with wax paper.
- Bake at 275° for 2 1/2 hours. Remove wax paper immediately after baking.
