Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. frozen green peas
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. cold water
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 3 c. water

Method

  • Peel and cut potatoes into large chunks.
  • Cook potatoes with margarine in 3 cups of water until just done.
  • Add green peas the last 6 minutes of cooking.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Combine cornstarch with 1 cup of cold water, stirring until smooth.
  • Add to peas slowly while stirring.
  • Stir until blended.
  • Return to medium heat just until sauce is desired consistency.
  • Serves 4 to 6.
