Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. milk
- 2/3 c. white Karo
- 2 1/2 to 3 c. Spanish peanuts (little over 12 oz. can)
Method
- Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Boil to a soft boil stage (240°).
- This takes about 25 minutes.
- Stir occasionally.
- Remove and add 4 tablespoons butter, 8 to 10 drops red food color and 1 cup powdered sugar.
- Beat by hand until firm.
- Drop onto buttered wax paper.
- Use a jar ring to make round.
