Ingredients
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 1/2 c. chopped peanuts
Method
- Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
- Cream together shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla.
- Mix well.
- Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, beating after each addition.
- Stir in peanuts.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake in hot oven (400°) for 10 minutes.
- Yields about 4 dozen cookies.
