Ingredients
- 2 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 2 1/4 c. milk
- 6 Tbsp. peanut butter
- 9 Tbsp. flour
- 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 3/4 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Mix sugar and flour in top of double boiler.
- Add milk slowly, mixing well.
- Cook over moderate heat until thickened.
- Add slightly beaten egg yolks; cook 3 minutes longer.
- Add peanut butter and vanilla; stir well.
- Let cool for 5 minutes.
- Pour into baked crust.
- Cover with meringue or whipped topping.
- Chill well before serving.
