- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. peanut butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 (11 oz.) pkg. milk chocolate candies
Method
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Cream the sugars, shortening and peanut butter. Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Add to mixture and beat well. Shape into 1-inch balls. Roll in additional granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 8 minutes. Remove from oven.
- Press a milk chocolate candy in center of each warm cookie. Return to oven and bake for 3 more minutes.
- Makes 6 to 7 dozen cookies. Stores well.
