Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. peanut butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Method
- Combine sugar, corn syrup and evaporated milk in heavy saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly. Cook for 4 minutes or to 234° to 240° on candy thermometer (soft ball stage).
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in peanut butter and vanilla; beat with spoon until thickened.
- Pour into an 8 x 8-inch buttered dish.
- Let stand until set.
- Cut into squares. Yields 24 squares.
