Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. peanut butter
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. chocolate semi-sweet morsels
  • 1/4 c. peanut butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. quick-cooking oats
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 to 4 Tbsp. milk

Method

  • Cream butter and white and brown sugars well.
  • Blend in egg, 1/3 cup peanut butter, soda, salt and vanilla.
  • Add flour and oats.
  • Spread in 9 x 13-inch pan, slightly greased.
  • Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes, until lightly browned.
  • Sprinkle immediately with morsels.
  • Let stand 5 minutes.
  • Spread melted chips over cookies.
  • Combine powdered sugar, 1/4 cup peanut butter and milk. Mix to drizzle consistency.
  • Drizzle over chocolate.
  • Cool.
  • Cut into bars.
