Ingredients

  • 1 c. peanut butter
  • 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine
  • 2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Method

  • Preheat oven to moderate (350°).
  • Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  • Beat the peanut butter and butter in a large bowl with electric mixer until well blended.
  • Add sugar, eggs and vanilla; beat until fluffy and light.
  • Stir in flour and salt until well blended.
  • Spread batter in prepared baking pan.
  • Bake in prepared oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack.
  • Cut into 24 brownies.
