Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 cup butter
  • margarine
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Method

  • Combine flour and baking soda; set aside.
  • Cream butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl.
  • Beat in egg.
  • Gradually beat in flour mixture.
  • Stir in semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  • Spread batter into a 13x9x2-inch pan.
  • Bake at 375F for 15-18 minutes.
  • After you take the pan out of the oven, dump the milk chocolate chips on the surface (which will be hot enough to melt them) and spread them, making a layer of milk chocolate.
  • Let it cool on a rack; then, cut into bars.
