Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. light Karo syrup
- 1 cube butter
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 c. peanuts or nut meats
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Method
- Butter 3 pie tins.
- In a medium saucepan, mix sugar, Karo syrup, butter and water.
- Cook until it forms a hard ball in cold water (10 to 12 minutes).
- Add nuts and cook until the nuts are the right color.
- Take off from fire and add vanilla and soda; stir and pour into pans.
- Let cool.
