Ingredients
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. peanut butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Hershey kisses
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
- Cream together shortening and peanut butter. Add sugar and brown sugar; cream well.
- Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well.
- Blend in dry ingredients.
- Shape by teaspoonful into balls.
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375° for 8 minutes. Remove promptly.
- Place unwrapped Hershey Kiss in center of each cookie until cookie cracks.
- Return to oven for 3 minutes.
