Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 box white or yellow cake mix
  • 1 can peaches
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar

Method

  • Spread softened butter or margarine in bottom of 9-inch square cake pan.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar evenly on butter or margarine and arrange peaches on top of the mixture.
  • Prepare cake batter according to package directions, then pour batter over fruit.
  • Bake in moderate oven at 350° for 50 minutes.
  • Loosen sides of cake with spatula.
  • Place serving plate over cake and turn upside down immediately.
  • Allow parts to rest over cake before removing.
  • Serve warm or cold with whipped cream.
