- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1/8 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 1 1/2 c. macaroni
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 3 Tbsp. American cheese
- 2 c. scalded milk
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 4 eggs
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 lb. Feta or American cheese
Method
- Brown hamburger and onion; drain. Add water and tomato paste. Cook macaroni; drain. Add margarine and cheese. Cook milk, 1/2 cup margarine, cornstarch and water until thick; cool. Beat eggs until yellow. Add seasonings and cheese. In 2-quart casserole, layer the meat, macaroni and sauce. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
