Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fettuccine or tagliatelle, uncooked
  • 1 lb. extra-lean ground beef King Sooper's 1 lb For $3.99 thru 02/09
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (650 mL) Classico di Napoli Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 2 cups part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup Cracker Barrel Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Kraft 100% Parmesan Aged Grated Cheese

Method

  • Heat oven 350 F.
  • Cook pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.
  • Brown meat with onions and garlic in large skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium-high heat.
  • Stir in pasta sauce and seasoning.
  • Simmer 5 min., stirring occasionally.
  • Add basil and crushed red pepper.
  • Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Dollop with ricotta cheese.
  • Add half of remaining meat sauce to drained pasta; mix well; add to baking dish.
  • Pour remaining meat sauce over pasta.
  • Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  • Bake 25 to 30 min.
  • or until heated through.
  • Let stand 10 min.
  • before serving.
