Ingredients

  • 3/4 C. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 C. ketchup
  • 1/2 C. water
  • 1/2 C. cider vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 2 tsp. ground mustard
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. hot pepper sauce
  • 1 large lemon, sliced
  • 2 1/2 to 3 lbs. miniature hot dogs or cocktail wieners

Method

  • In saucepan, saute onion in oil until tender.
  • Stir in the next 11 ingredients.
  • Add lemon slices.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 20-25 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
