- 3/4 C. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 C. ketchup
- 1/2 C. water
- 1/2 C. cider vinegar
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 2 tsp. ground mustard
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/8 tsp. hot pepper sauce
- 1 large lemon, sliced
- 2 1/2 to 3 lbs. miniature hot dogs or cocktail wieners
Method
- In saucepan, saute onion in oil until tender.
- Stir in the next 11 ingredients.
- Add lemon slices.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 20-25 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
