Ingredients
- 1/2 pound day-old country-style bread, sliced 1/4-inch thick
- Extra-virgin olive oil
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan
Method
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
- Brush one side of each bread slice with olive oil and place them on a baking sheet in one layer.
- Season them with salt and pepper and dust them with the Parmesan.
- Bake until golden brown and crisp, about 15 minutes.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
