Ingredients
- 6 medium baking apples
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- unbaked pie shell
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 stick margarine
Method
- Slice apples; place in a large bowl.
- Combine 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons flour and nutmeg.
- Sprinkle over apples and toss well. Spoon into unbaked pie shell and drizzle with lemon juice.
- Combine 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup flour and stick margarine, then sprinkle over apples.
- Slide pie into brown paper bag.
- Fold open end twice and fasten with paper clip.
- Bake on cookie sheet at 425° for 1 hour.
