Ingredients

  • 1 1 & 1/2 pounds stew beef trimmed and cut into bite size pieces.
  • 2 can tomato sauce 15 ounce.
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 28 oz can crushed tomatos.
  • 1 frozen vegetables (20 + oz) more as needed
  • 1 salt and pepper as needed
  • 1 Bay leaf

Method

  • in large dutch oven or soup pot, add meat and sliced onion, cover meat with 1" water.
  • bring to a boil, then simmer about 3-4 hours.
  • add water as needed to keep meat covered, allow to reduce by half.
  • add tomatos, tomato sauce and vegetables.
  • stir.
  • return to boil then simmer one more hour.
  • add salt and pepper as needed
  • you can add any ingredients as you need according to servings.
