Ingredients

  • 2 Medium New York Strip Steaks
  • 5 medium baking potatoes
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1/4 cup of peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp quality maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • salt
  • Pepper

Method

  • Peel the potatoes, and dice them into one inch cubes. Set them in a pot of cold salted water and bring to a boil. Let them cook for about 10-15 minutes or until fork tender.Drain the potatoes and place the butter, cream,maple syrup, and peanut butter in the used pot. place over low heat. Set a large skillet over medium-high heat and heat the oil. When oil is hot season each side of the steaks with salt and pepper and sear for about three minutes per side. Remove from pan and let rest for ten minutes. While the steaks are resting, run the potatoes through a food mill and fold them into the butter, cream, peanut butter, and syrup mixture.season with salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
