Ingredients

  • 1 head shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 c. chopped green onions with tops
  • 1/4 c. diced celery
  • 1 c. sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 pkg. frozen green peas (uncooked)
  • 3 tsp. sugar
  • 1 pt. Hellmann's mayonnaise
  • 2 sliced tomatoes
  • 5 sliced hard-cooked eggs
  • 1 lb. bacon, crumbled
  • Parmesan cheese

Method

  • Layer lettuce, onions and tops, celery, water chestnuts and peas in bowl.
  • Cover tightly and refrigerate.
  • Add sugar to mayonnaise and then layer in order, mayonnaise, tomatoes, eggs, bacon and Parmesan cheese.
  • When ready to serve, toss.
