Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup steel-cut oats
- 6 cups water
- 1/4 cup salted roasted almonds
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- brown sugar or pure maple syrup for serving
Method
- Boil the oats in water for 1 minute. Cover and let stand overnight. The next day, uncover, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes until cooked and creamy but still a bit chewy. Serve with almonds, cranberries and sweeten to taste.
