Ingredients
- 4 1/2 cups water
- 1 cup steel cut oats
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 1/4 cup dried cranberries or 1/4 cup dried cherries
- 1/4 cup toasted chopped pecans
Method
- Place ingredients except pecans in a small crockpot and cook 6-8 hours or until tender.
- Oats will thicken upon standing.
- Serve with milk, cream, sweetener or fresh fruits if desired, topped with toasted pecans.
